TAKESUMI (Bamboo charcoal)

The takesumi (bamboo charcoal), called black diamond, is one of the ingredients with a very broad spectrum of use.
In Japan, it has been used for centuries to purify and decontaminate running water.

It is charged with negative ions and naturally attracts toxic particles to it. Nowadays, it is still produced by hand in an earthen oven, according to the ancestral know-how of the Master Burners.

Very porous, it has the particularity of adsorbing and retaining 3 times more air and groundwater pollutants than a conventional activated charcoal. It is also an excellent absorbent of odour and humidity.
  • Adsorption surface: 3000 m2/g.
  • Minerals: silicic acid, calcium, potassium.
